Day 8 - Helping out at the shop

One week after being in Australia, we started to feel more at home. Our first full Monday found us helping out at the Bangles Pottery Gallery of the Loth's in Cobargo. We owe the Loth's so much for letting us stay at their place, and the little bit we can help with at shop and the house just seems the least we can do.

Andrea spent most of the day helping with books and re-stocking the front. I spent most of the day fixing a heater fan. It only seemed right since the fan and wood stove were made in Ontario, Canada.

On another strange coincidence, the Loth's have two dogs named Rusty and Cleo. This is really comical and weird since my parents (Will) have two cats named Rusty and Cleo. What are the odds of that?

The pottery shop has some of the best pieces I have seem in one place. I recommend a trip to the gallery if you are ever in the Cobargo area. The photos are but a small sampling of what they have to offer.

i was a bit worried about you two as it has been a ritual to check out this website every day, and then there was nothing posted! well i am even more jealous now that i have seen your latest pictures as i LOVE pottery and i wish i had relatives who had their own pottery shop. i want to say 'please bring me home some pottery' but that is a little unrealistic as you are across the world. glad to hear you guys are having a relaxing time, and that you are settling in.
i applied for a position on the unit i was on. there's a little glitch about my start date as the acting manager wants me to start may 5, but we aren't back until may 8. the next orientation is may 20, so we'll have to see if i can swing getting back for the 5th, but as of right now that looks a bit impossible as the return ticket is non-refundable and i don't have 1500$ to spend on a ticket home to be back for the 5th. miss you guys, mind your way.

Hey Guys! Have been enjoying your updates and am SO jealous of your travels! Isn't Oz wicked?!? We are already starting to plan our next trip back. Can't wait! We can keep up to date on what's going on with each through these crazy but fun blogs. I'm leaving on a 15 day cruise next week. It will take us from Chile (South America) to Mexico. Hope you find jobs soon, I'm sure you won't have any problems. Take care and keep in touch :) Erin & Kelly
